Teeth Whitening
Achieving a brighter smile is now the top aesthetic goal for many patients. Thankfully, tooth whitening, also known as bleaching, is an effective and non-invasive way to lighten the color of your teeth. Whitening is applied to natural tooth enamel and any other cosmetic or restorative procedures for the front teeth will be done after the whitening process. There are two options for whitening, either by creating a custom tray for at-home use or through in-office treatments.
Dental Cleanings
During the cleaning, tartar and plaque are removed, and the teeth are polished to remove any remaining stains. There is no such thing as a typical cleaning with Elements Dental Studio. Our team provides comprehensive preventative services for all of our patients of Kenilworth. We recognize that the foundation of optimal oral health begins with proper dental hygiene. Dental cleanings and exams are two of the most basic yet important preventative treatments we provide.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dental procedures are aimed at improving the appearance of your teeth and smile. There are a variety of procedures available to address any cosmetic concern. It is always important to remember that the health of your smile must be considered prior to any cosmetic procedure. Having the appropriate balance between health and cosmetics will allow you to maintain a beautiful smile for a lifetime.
Veneers
Dental veneers can both improve your smile and protect it from damage with minimal impact on natural tooth structure. Our dentists can help restore your confidence and improve your smile’s appearance with veneers. This dental technique can correct noticeable flaws such as chips, cracks, stains/discolorations and unevenness between teeth. Veneers may simply revitalize teeth that look old or worn-down.
Dental Fillings
Fillings are a common dental treatment used to repair teeth that have been damaged by decay, cracks, or minor fractures. One type of filling is called a composite filling, which is tooth-colored and blends in with your natural teeth. To place a filling, the tooth will be numbed, carefully cleaned of any decay, and prepared for the new filling. Once the tooth is ready, the filling will be placed, sculpted, and polished to restore its shape and function. By getting a filling, you can repair your damaged tooth and regain its strength and beauty.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material (a durable plastic material) is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to the tooth to restore or improve person’s smile. Bonding is also fairly non-invasive and can usually be completed in one visit at our office, which serves patients of Kenilworth.
Dental Implants
Dental implants provide a single site permanent solution for missing teeth. The implant procedure has two phases: In the first phase, one of our Kenilworth dentists or periodontists uses imaging to assess the quality of the bone. Molds are taken to ensure that the implant is placed in the optimal location. The dentist or periodontist places a titanium screw (the implant) into the jaw bone. This titanium screw integrates into the bone and acts as the root of the tooth. After a period of 3-4 months, the implant will be completely integrated into the bone. Once complete healing of the implant is verified, the dentist will begin the process of fabricating a custom abutment (connection piece) and crown. The end result will be a beautiful and natural looking artificial tooth.
Crowns
A crown (or cap) is a covering that encases the entire tooth, restoring it to its original shape and size. Crowns are a good treatment option when the integrity of a given tooth has been damaged to the point where fillings or other types of restorations cannot properly repair it. Placing a crown will generally require two appointments. At the first appointment, the dentist will numb the tooth, remove decay, and shape the remaining surface to properly fit the crown. A mold, or impression, will then be taken of the tooth for creating your custom crown. The dentist will cement a temporary crown in place and check your bite to ensure that it has been properly placed. This will function for you as a normal tooth for about two weeks while your permanent crown is fabricated in a dental laboratory. Once the permanent crown is finished, you will return to the dentist’s office to have your new crown carefully set in place. The high durability of crowns helps them to last many years, but they may eventually need to be replaced.
